Casa Fabiana

Must an organic restaurant always be boring and serve bland food? Definitively not. As an amateur of organic food myself I have been quite delighted when this restaurant opened a few years ago in rue de Bonnevoie, between Place Wallis and Place de Paris, 5 minutes from the central station.

Since then I have been eating there regularly for lunch and their quality is remarkably consistent.

As they are open mainly for lunch, their menu is composed of 2 daily dishes, one vegetarian, one fish/meat, changing everyday. For the rest, you’ll find on the menu some staple meat and fish dishes, quite a few vegetarian ones, wraps, salads, soups, etc.

What I especially love about this place is that you’ll have a really healthy, filling and satisfying lunch that won’t make you feel like having a nap at your office right after. The portions are absolutely right, the plates look very appetizing and the taste is always good. On top of that the service is lovely, even in the rush hour of lunch time. Reservation for lunch is absolutely necessary as this place is always full.

Prices are not cheap, but very reasonable for the quality you get. The vegetarian daily dish is at 13.9€ (18.10€ with a starter or dessert) and the meat/fish is at 17.9€ (22.10€ with a starter or dessert).

The restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, so you can also pass by in the afternoon for some coffee and cake. On Saturday, they are open from 10 am to 4 pm. Additionally they open a few nights a month, organize some special cultural events, do regular cooking classes and can also be booked for private catering. Check the website for further details.
